On a day when I was making yogurt, a day during which I really, really needed my thermometer to work, it was measuring my counter as 103F. Perhaps a bit off.
This happens periodically, as I am known to accidentally submerge the probe part when I'm washing it, thus getting water inside it, thus making it think my house is Death Valley. Fortunately, there is an easy fix, one which I'm sharing in case I'm not the only one who has this trouble. :)

This will evaporate any water inside, and will probably have your thermometer working as good as new; it always has for me, anyway. Please to enjoy.
